MidRange Blower?

Wow, well some kid i met in college has an 05 auto lx coupe...Well today he imed me and told me his brother bought him a "Midrange blower"...He said it kicks in from 40-80 mph and it adds i dunno 8 pounds of thrust or something..Wtf is he talkin about? Is this another ricer? I havent gotten a chance to talk to him since then

Um... in theory, it sounds like a supercharger, but I'd bet it's one of those stupid "Add 20whp to your car for $20" scams.

yea thats what i was thinkin..i always see that ad on the top of this website..well lol if it is, he is gunna think his civic is super fast!
