Need Opinions for car purchase!
Hello everybody, This is my first post here, and I come seeking opinions for a car that I am expressing serious interest in buying. The car is a 2000 Honda Civic SE. This will be my first car, so my only criteria is affordable, reliable, and fuel efficiency. The Civic definitely fits that criteria very well. The features of this car is limited, but thats not my concern right now. I've test driven it already and given it a thorough inspection. It's very smooth and clean, no problems whatsoever, it's basically brand new still. The specs is listed below and a pic of the car is attached. The asking price is $14,995 Canadian (~$12,700US). I know there are many other variables to take into consideration, but any comments towards the given info and pic is very much appreciated. Thank you guys very much!

for $12,700, i say you keep searching. I think you are bound to find a better deal. My friend bought a 2000 with 54k miles and all the features that your potential civic has, plus a moonroof for US$7,900.

oh yikes. despite the price, the mileage is VERY low. actually this car is gonna have a ton of problems in a year or two. thats how much mileage it should have for 1 year or a bit more. low mileage means it hasn't been driven alot, and I would stay away from those. Its not good to do that for the car or alot of parts on it.

I got a 2001 LX with 50k for $8,000 USD.
Thank you everybody for their comments. Initially, I thought the price was quite high as well. I will be going in sometime this week to chat with the sales guy and we'll go from there. The price will have to go down significantly, no way am I paying anywhere near 15,000 for this car. Once again, thanks for everyones input. Hopefully, someday I will be able to showcase a Civic I can call my own here for you guys!

When you go there beat the guy with a hammer.
ya too much. which dealer is that? I'de say stay away from dealers and check in autotrader or ask a dealer to get u one from auction, u can find sweet deals in auction & btw if u get standard car is about 1000$ cheaper than auto.
