What should i do?
It's driving me crazy. Do I trade in my fully paid off 02 EX Coupe for an 06 or do I spend the 5-7k I have laying around modding my 02? What would you guys do? If I trade in and add the money I have, I could have a brand new car with no payment. Or i could boost/swap.
Dude....with 5-7K in your pocket? I'd get the 06Si no questions asked. I'm sure you could suped up the 06Si a lot more than if you were to spend your money on boost for your 02, plus like you said, you'd be getting a brand new car.

Here's a third option. Invest your $5-7k and save some more each month. Keep your current ride for at least a few more years. Then maybe you can pay cash for your next ride. It makes more sense financially for now and your future. It is not nearly as fun though.
I would have to agree with stlblues13, invest your money, or like 1sikEM2 said save a bit more and make a down payment on a house, but if you already own a house then get the 06 si, that car looks really nice, forget about suping up your 02 ex, it already has some miles on it and in the end it would be hard to get 8thgen civic if you do change your mind, thats just my 2 cents, good luck :-)

^^ I have owned a house for 5 years now, and I'm taking out a 25k home equity loan to do stuff with. A new car or mods is one thing I'm doing, along with some home improvements, and HDTV, 7 day cruise, ring for the wife, and some other stuff. Maybe I can talk her out of a ring and cruise, and get an S2K, lol.
I sure wish my car was newer

I thought you were getting divorced? If so, I wouldn't spend a dime. I'd put it in off-shore accounts.
Otherwise, either stick with your current car or go for an '06 Si if you like the look. I wouldn't even bother with another non-sport model.

Id say get the 06 SI! Swapping's gonna run you like $5K Then boosting is gonna run another $4K thats already $9K and only run about hmmm....230-240 hp? With the SI you'll have a new car that already does 200hp off the showroom floor, and Im sure when mods start to come out you'll be able to push more than you ever will in your EM2! Just my $.02
