Just got a first hand look at the new SI! **More Pics Added** Honda held a small event at a Tower Records in Hollywood, where they brought the 06 Civic Hybrid, 06 Civic Sedan, and the 06 Civic SI.
I wasnt allowed to take pics but I did take some on the downlow with no flash so they didnt come out to well, if anyone wants to see them let me know!
Let me just say that Im very impresed! The overall look of the car is awesome, some of the features that it has is nice, didnt get much info on the car but here's some things I noticed:
1. of course like all other SI's it had disc brakes all the way around.
2. Stock 17" wheels (5 lug)
3. Big Reverse-lite tach in the normal location and digital Speedometer high up in the dash closer to the windshield.
4. This car had navigation with what looked to be voice recognition
5. It had similar looking seats to the current SI but no suede (suede is hard to take care of)
6. 6 Speed
7. I know its a 2.0 Liter but other specs werent released or known
8. Looked like it had a premium sound system with a factory subwoofer
Well after seeing it Im definately getting one! Cant wait for the actual release of the specs in September and the actual release of the car in December!

Rep Power: 308 I was speculating about the voice nav feature over on 8thgencivic.com and no one believed me. I looked at the uk version's steering wheel and there are extra buttons under the audio buttons. The new american interior pictures shows the steering wheel with these same to buttons

Yes I saw that, I couldnt confirm exactly what the button is, but Im very familiar with OEM navigation systems and it did look like the button was for voice recognition!

its 5 lug 4 wheel disc...
Honda has already figured that people would upgrade anyways...
They need to keep the price down...
think of that..
maybe a special anniversary edition will come out in the years to come with all the high performance goodies...

Not really complaining I just thought maybe it would have a similar brake setup as the Type-S!
