New Reason for Me to Hate Oldsmobiles *pics*
New Reason for Me to Hate Oldsmobiles *pics*
So last night i came home and i saw an Oldsmobile hubcap in our driveway.
So heres the story. My dad was driving my car around and he was on the freeway. Then suddenly the hubcab blew off the Oldsmobile in another lane and came flying towards my civic from the right. My dad slammed on the brakes so the hubcap wouldnt slam into the side of the civic. That wasnt enough to avoid the hubcap. The hubcap slammed into the bumper of the civic, my dad was confused cuz when he looked into the rear view mirror there was no hubcap rolling down the freeway. Anyways, when he gets home he got out of the car and looked at the bumper and found the hubcap still jammed into the lower part of the grill. That wasnt the end of it. When the hubcap flew into the bumper opening, it crashed with such great force that it broke the housing of my left fog light. The foglight was dangling out of the bumper by the wiring the whole time before my dad got home. My sister took some pics of the car before i got home, here are some pics. Ill try to get more pics later on today.

as you can see the housing where the foglight is suppose to clip and bolt down to the bumper broke off. the funny part was the foglight still works.

Nothing a twisty tie cant fix:
Me pulling out the broken plastic, the brown gunk is from the wheel grime of the olds hubcap:
Black plastic pieces didnt break off but they are cracked, im not sure if you can see it.

at least 7th gen honda civic hubcaps are bolted with the rim.
i'm glad that it didn't get to your AC condensor. that could have been expensive. sorry your car got nailed with a hubcap and busted your foglight though, that sucks. next time you see a olds with a missing hubcap, be sure to flag him down and give him his bend hubcap back.
