a question
I have a brand new (not even 3000 miles yet) civic vp. But i really don't like it all that much, no power locks/windows/etc, don't even have a tach. And yes i know i can do all this to my car but I really want to get an SI or an EX. So my question is this... should I try to trade it in and get a used Si or EX? If so, how much do you think i should look for for the trade in, i figure around $12,000? Also, I am in college and don't really want to be dead broke working 3 jobs to pay for my car, is this viable or no, what do ya'll think?

if you trade it in, im sure that they wont give you what you owe on it. Then they will tack that on to the price of whichever car you buy.
The only way (i think) you would be able to pull it off is if you find a used lx or ex, that is less than what you owe on your current car. So when they tack on what you will still owe on the other car, your balance will remain just about the same.

YEah, it's gonna be hard to pull that off... Your best bet is to try and sell it out your self, that will take some time though ot find the right person, but if you are patient, someone will buy it, then go and find the car you want. But like turbo said, you will probably have to find a used one, certified Honda's are nice, come with a better warranty too.
you won't get 12k unless the dealer holds gross on the new/used car you are buying. that way they can use some of the gross to add to your trade in value. brand new '05 VP sedans are selling for 13,000 + tax and fees right now...

I guess i will just keep my vp (sigh) and make it what i want..though i'm kinda scared that my car is gonna look ghetto, with my power locks/windows that i'm going to put in it eventually. But i have a 6 year warranty on my car, so I can't really do too much for awhile.
