YES you need hoodpins for a CF hood. Ive seen the damage from hoods flying up even at under 40 MPH and its is NOT pretty.

my "wagon wheels" haha, yea they are 18 inch, I like em, that's why I got them I do however have a similar question regarding cf hoods, how hard on a scale of 1-5 is it to install hood pins on cf (5 being the hardest) ? i'm a little worried about drilling into cf, thanks guys.

I had my cf hood on for over a year now with out hood pins and its fine. Its as strong as the stock hood latch.

I'll post my baby up when I can go take a pic of her. The only pic i have is this one. Sry about the size, I don't think theres photoshop in the library.
She doesn't look like that any more, she has almost completely blacked out headlights with a retrofit, new tires too!! I'll take a pic on the way back to my dorm. Althought I must apoligize ahead of time because shes really dirty now.
