Help!! It's my Carbon Fiber Hood

Hey ya'll. I need a lil help. I brought a C/F Hood for 450 from a performance shop called Intercrew Racing and its starting to fade in some places. Do I need to buff it with wax are did I just get fuc*ed. It doesn't have a name on it. Not sure whats the problem, can someone give some sugestions on what i should do, i brought it about 8 mths ago at the most....

i have the same problem. i bought a TCSpoiler CF hood which i was told had really good quality. i have had it for not quite a year and it looks like crap in the upper drivers side where the little ridge in the hood is. it looks like water got between the layers of CF or faded really bad cause it doesn't match the rest of the car.

my friend had that happen to his, all he did is had it resurfaced with urathane(?) and it looked perfect. im not sure how much it cost. but it was well worth it.

He took it to a local boat shop, and they did it for him.

You can just take it to a body shop and have them throw on some new layers of Clear Coat.

u dont have to strip off all of the clearcoat...all u have to do is wetsand it with a gray scotchbright or 500-600 grit wet/dry sand paper and than after it drys u it should be scuffed up enough for u to use wax and grease remover than respray clearcoat on top of it
