well seems like everybody has mixed feelings about the pins. im not really on the road for a long period of time and if i do its only for about an hour max. so ill just leave the pins off, but ill keep the ones i have now untill i upgrade them. the ones i have now are really cheap. heh
I've had a hood fly up on both of my friends. But one didn't have a hood latch and it was tied down using bungee cords and the other also didn't have a hood latch and forgot to put his hood pins in.
so yeah. I think the stock hood latch is more than good enough

as for the hood pins, i'd say get 'em. if you're gonna install 'em yourself, be really, REALLY careful.. i installed them myself, and i cringed when i drilled into the cf...

^^^haha thats funny!! cuz my hood latch is broken too and i forgot to put my pins in too. lol and yes i have pins on a stock hood because my latch is broken and that was the quickest way to solve my problem.

get the hood pins. my friend was dumb enough not to put them in and the hood literally flew off the car and almost hitting my friend behind him.
