I got a little scared this morning
so my gas light has been on for 2 days, i went to one gas station but they were reseting their pumps, they said it would take 20 min, so i said
and left. FInally got to another station and my car took 13.5 gallons,
i always thought our cars had 13.2 gallon tank, but hey, i got 430 miles to that tank with a/c sometimes, pretty good for an auto if u ask me

i've got that stupid ebay resistor thing in mine that advances the timing 1 degree, it's supposed to make it get 1 less per gallon but actually gets better mileage with it on

damn you guys are getting some good mileage
I usually get 320 max for 10-11 gallons
if I slowed down from 90 I guess it might get a little better. ANd slowed in the corners, and stayed out of 3rd so much when passing slow people

from what i've read and been told, it advances the timing 1 degree, the resisitor goes in the IAT (Intake Air Temperature) Sensor, tells the ecu that the air goin in is colder and the ecu compensates by advancing the timing slightly
i see sooo many holes in your story friend...
1) you say you get 430 miles per tank
2) you say you get 50mpg
3) you say you can cram 13.5 gallons into your tank
if you do the math, that would be 675 miles to the tank...
so which is it?
i am being totally sarcastic btw, i love when people over-exagerate...

don't we have an overfill tank? it's a security measure so we have 1 extra gallon of gas in case we are stupid and don't fill up when the light turns on
ur gas milage sucks. I gotta 04 ex 5speed with like 70lbs of woofers in my tunk and I still get like 350-370 driving like a dumbass and like 420 when I take it easy. Easy = 2600rpm shift when driving in the city and 3200rpm when accelerating onto the highway. 65mph all the way....
Subarus FTW I do NOT miss my civic

. Is there any warning until you actually run out of gas or do you just run out. for instance does the gas light change a different color if you truly are about to run out or anything?
