I painted My rims. What Do YOU Think?

I painted my wheels about two weeks ago and i cant decide if i like them or not. I need your opinions so i can decide if i will paint the other ones.

This is what the other side looks like

What do you think?

That was my plan but the paint came out way darker than i thought. I'm painting them again this weekend.

2blu how what was the process you used for painting your rims? I know another member did it, and I wanted to know how you did it. I think i might do it to my rims as well.

How long will that paint last? I wanted to paint mine too, but I'm afraid they'll start shipping off. Some one suggested powder coating...what do you say?

for some reason i like the unpainted side,,,the painted side makes the rims look smaller to me....what size rims are those 16 or 17"??

I used the duplicolor paint. It has held up Through a few washes, and storms.

First I cleaned and sanded the wheel. The primer and sanded. I used 4 coats of color, and 5 coats of clear. I had never painted anything, so i think it came out good.

The wheels are 17's. They look small cuz the spokes start so far from the rim.

painted side looks better...i would go with gold or charcoal metallic and dont forget the clearcoat

Personally, I have had good luck with powder coated. Alittle more expensive, but better protection and harder shell cause it's baked (NOT FRIED!

) Sorry, bad humor. Seriously tho, if you want a good hard paint, go powder. It'll last longer. Wet paint on rims only normally lasts 1 year, unless you drive on roads with NO rocks at all, and no rain.
