^I kinda agree w/ u, but I wanna see how a good pic of it looks b4 I make a full decision on how it looks... I have some silver vynal and may give it a shot... just to see how it looks w/ blacked out tails... worst case senario is I just pull the vynal off, lol

I didnt even think of that! damn... well I should be Ok since I put 5 heavy coats of engine enamel clearcoat on... hopefully...

I would think your easiest/most reversible option would be to pull your bulb out of the turnsignal and run a wire from the positive line on the turn sig to the positive line on the reverse bulb harness... I mean all the bulbs run on a 12v system, so power is power... and if you dont like it... just take away the bridge wire and it is back to stock, no fuss no muss...

I thought you might like that, I just seems like the easiest route to go... O btw Im giving you rep for trying this out...!

and now that you got me thinking about this, I may do it vynal or no... since then I would have hyperwhite turn sigs... might be a little diffrent, then I can make my turn sig bulbs my running lights and get rid of the running light on my brake bulb, then I wouldnt have to worry at all about my tail tint being to dark for my running lights...

Its the angle of the picture. They're perfectly even and level. I used window tint for the trial run, but I plan to use spray on tint when I get another pair of stock tails.

Great thread! I had the same idea in my head a while back, except that I wasn't going to mess with the lights... so out of all of us here I'd have the highest rear coupe lights, I only wanted to cover the very top corner, so that from the side it would look exactly the same.
...but, I have no idea where to get EBP matching vinyl. I'd also use it to shape my front lights a bit. Just minor details for my own benefit, but Civic owners would probably notice too.

Hmm. Good to know. Thanks! I might go that route for the final approach. Painting will always be easier for me, but I'll look into that vinyl.

i have homemade tails too!

late to chyme in, but these used to be on my car -

ps : the sedan taillight thing you did is great! Not sure if it would be the same for other color sedan tho
