Rep Power: 0 Go with the 5 series or an M3.
What model Benz do you have now and why are you selling it?
Sell both and you have a nice downpayment on a new AMG (or a slightly used one).
I wouldn't pass up a BMW or a Mercedes-Benz for a G35 which isn't all that great.

Rep Power: 0 I've mastered SMG-II with my M3, so I can't wait to see what a 7-Speed with a 500HP V-10 will be like. Then, Dinan will own the car for about six months after I break it in...

Rep Power: 296 maxima = good power, 4 doors thats about it.
g35= good power, sporty styling, and luxury
5 series = more of a luxury styling, good power and awesome warranty.
-BMW has one of the best warranties, but you will have issues with the car.
-Aftermarket items are price of civic aftermarket times 5
BMW makes awesome cars, but they pack so much stuff in there that it breaks. I know because my housemate has a 04 330 ci BMW.
He got his in may of 03 and i got my 04 civic in nov of 03. This is some of his issues and the car has about 15k now. bad starter, got it replaced, bad coils got it replaced, bad window motor, got it replaced. Bad window motor again, same side got it replaced. All those times when his car broke down on the side of the road, BMW payed for towing and gave him a loaner BMW to use till it was fixed and all covered under warranty with no hassles.
Now my 04 civic, as of right now has 32k on it. Car issues......none. ONly took it in to get oil changes.
You can a nice luxury and better social status with the european cars, but you will have issues with them. If you dont mind going to the dealer a lot then go with the 5 series. My friend wishes he just bought a g35 now because as much as he loves his bimmer, his 98 nissan 200sx with 140k on is more reliable at the moment then his 04 bimmer with 15k on it.

Rep Power: 326 I was in LOVE with the G35, literally a signiture away from driving home in one, than I see a catalog on the 2005. Looks and sounds so much better. So I wait. Go and see the 2005 in person, and Im kicking myself for waiting. Yeah, +18 hp, but NO BREMBOS, -10 ft/lb tq, 100 lbs heavier. Yeah the 19z are nice, esp the forged ones, but iono. Now im just gonna keep my car until 2007 when the GT-R comes out.
Out of that list, I say go for the Maxima. Its more suitable as a daily beater, a shietload more room, and looks are pretty good, and Im not a fan of the car. I must say tho, Nissan did a pretty good job with the looks. So go with that. Insurance will also be much nicer on the maxima than the Sport Coupe G.
EDIT - Oh yeah, the Bimmer. Um . . . . . . . unless your gonna lease it, I wouldnt do it. Im usually against leases, but once you are out of your warranty with BMW, and out of thier free service plan, its soo expensive to repair, and everything falls apart right as soon as the warranty is over. Have a 98 528i, and many problems after free service and warranty. It has 105,000 miles, currently replacing the CV joint. Not the same BMW quality it used to have.

Rep Power: 0 It's interesting hearing these quality issues with BMWs. I come from a BMW family and we have never experienced anything like that. I've had to replace my brake discs several times, but I race in the car, so that is nothing shocking.

Rep Power: 0 These stories of BMW problems are new to me. I come from a BMW family and we've never had any problems. I have had to replace my disc brakes a few times on the M3, but then agian, I race, so nothing that is unexpected...
