Need some opinions and an answer...

I am thinking of putting the ADR flite 4 rims on my 2004 Ralley Red EX Coupe. I am looking for some opinions on this, or if someone already has them on a red civic I'd like to see. Also I am thinking of going to 16" with a basic set of 205/40R16 tires on them. Am I going to feel any decreased performance with the larger rims or will it be minior since the flite 4 is pretty light. Also I live in Central NY and potholes are everywhere. Will this setup make my life a pothole dodging nightmare or will I be ok. Thank guys for taking the time to look and post!

Bumb... any thoughts on performance. I used the tire calculator and saw that this is actually a little smaller than stock and a 205/50/R16 would be almost exactly stock outer diameter. So probably no real change or what? Anyone have some thought on that. Thanks!

I have always gone with 40's myself but just becuase 50's were to high(to much rubber)40's just have a sleek profile more my taste, but 50's are safer for the rims definitely. You hit a big pothole with 40's and ya might be buying a rim or two!. Im only saying this becuase in michigan we have horrific roads. As fars as performance goes the fact that you are going with a 7" wide rim and tire, is wider than stock hence more tire area on the ground. The same goes for a person who has 18" slicks on a hotrod, if he were to put 6" rims were he had 18" rims his tires will just spin.Go to a tire shop and look at the differences between the 205 verses the 210 and so on and you'll see.hope this helps..later
