cluster swap
just bought this off ebay, its goin in my coupe, looks like everything will be the same, only question is will i have to modify to harness because this is a automatic cluster with park, neutral, drive, etc. (i have a manual) will that part just not light up, anyone done this before?
cluster
I have no clue without looking at the wire diagram, you have a few options, you can open the cluster and remove the lights for the AT settings, tape over them like the other guy said, or get ahold of the wire diagrams for both the auto and manual and send me them. I'll then be able to tell you what to connect where or what to disconnect.
I would just plug it in it might not light up at all.

you can't "just plug it in" both harnesses must be rewired. A few members have done this, and if i had to guess, id say the transmission position indicator would work if hooked up correctly.

i think your refering to a swap out with a 01 or 02 cluster, cause they are totally differnet then the 03's. remember, this is 03 to 03, only diff is a/t into m/t

wire it up and change p, r, n, etc to read 1, 2, 3, etc and so they light up when you're in the respective gears...
ok it was just an idea...
edit: that would be a whole lot of wiring and modding to your shifter assembly

btw, got the guage cluster today and here is the DIY:
for 2003 sedan blue cluster to 2003 coupe:
plug the **** in, get a beer.
pluged it right in and the only thing that dosent light up is the dot next to the correct gear.

the gear indicator "dots" won't light up since your tranny is manual though the faceplate lights on each of the gear will. you can't just cover ém up with black tape.
btw, swapped my 01 cluster with a red-faced one off from eBay. i see that yours is blue and apparently came from a 03. from what year do you think mine came from?

Mileage rollback dog. If you put your car up for sale and a buyer uses Carfax, you are screwed.
