Blacked out tail lights?

Anyone black out or smoke their tail lights? If so, how did you do them? I heard to paint them from the inside, because if you paint them from the outsied, the paint can scratch off? Post pics is possible too, thanks

You can either do that or put a tint on the outside of them.

i did mine from the outside...it wasnt 2 bad....it doesnt scratch unless u take a screw driver 2 it...

I tinted my TYCs, it worked out great....got rid of that crappy altezza look and the smoked lights on a black car, lot hot. Jeffsta, your car looks sweet.
