Rep Power: 0 Car Wash Wrecked My New Civc!!!!
Well, not exactly wrecked... but scratched it bad.
It was one of those touchless car washes. Nobody was around for me to complain, and when I went in there was a sign that said "not responsible for any damage"
Anyways, that arm that goes around the car washing it, broke or something. It ended up right up against my door and stopped at the mirror, then the machine just went dead. I huge bolt dropped on the hood of my car... The thing was toast.
Here is the damage:
Can anyone tell me how I can fix this? It isn't down to the bear metal but I think it is close. How much would it cost to fix this up at the dealership? I really dont want it rusting out.
Thanks!!

Rep Power: 399 Well if the machine broke and fell on the car, then they should be responsible. That sign is there to say that if the power washer blows the paint off the door, its not their problem. If the machine fell apart, you ought to talk to them.

Rep Power: 0 Good luck fixing that. I would usually say that is what you get for being lazy. It takes all of 15 minutes to wash your car.
I honestly have no clue what that would cost. If you really want to get it fixed that it to a body shop and get an estimate.

Rep Power: 0 Yeah - nobody works there... It is an automated machine. I am not being lazy, I am in Canada and it is like -30 outside. If I use the manual hose it is basically ICE all over the car... this way at least it has a dryer at the end of the cycle.
Would it cost more than $150 to fix this?

Rep Power: 0 yes. it would cost more then $150.
You have to scrape the paint off the door and body and prime, paint, and refinish (if you want to do it right).
Or
You can use scratch remover first and go over with some touch up paint from honda.
