S2000 Soft Top Noise

My friend bought a used S2000, and the top makes ALOT of noise, seems like theres a piece missing from the front top of the soft top because after 20 mph, it seems like the windows are open bairly and it makes the really annoying noise, would there be a piece missing from the top??? or is that all S2000's?

My dad's S2000 never had noise problems... what year is your friends cuz when my dad got his 2002 they said they added something that year to help with it
