ok so mitsu did it chevy did it and a few more companies...
my questions to you guys are
do you think a 7th gen would look nice with a top down and would you buy it if honda made one that looked nice not a quick hackjob to draw in more customers
i love my dads 71 chevelle convertible and i just want a convertible so bad but at the same time i luv the vic

Rep Power: 293 from the photo chops that i've seen on this website, i think that they would look good, if the top was hidden, and not sticking up like the vw bug's

Rep Power: 0 tehy will never do it..
reason they made a non coupe Si=because people that want speed will buuy si but then .... 6thgen.. only people that wanted speed bought it... house moms bought regualr 6th gen.. but w/ a variation of style... house moms like look of Si so they buy it now... basically im confusing but they already have 2 style to flood the market and a third i.e. convert would be overkill and wouldnt have good sales ratios.
chopping top also=smlaller trunk and tp would look funky..

Rep Power: 0 Chassis strength wouldn't decrese if they properly reinforced the chassis, as they do with all convertible cars.
Wow, so the weight goes up a 'bit. The civic doesn't weigh that much to begin with. Big whoop. Civics are already lightweight and slow. Being a little heavier, and a little slower ain't gonna kill anyone.
Heck, if they made a convertible 'Vic, I'd take a serious look at it. Whether or not I'd buy one, I dunno. But I'd definitely consider it.
BTW, those chop pics look incredible.

Rep Power: 278 I don't know.... A convertible Vic would be cool. And probably affordable. I'd get it over a Miata, and I can't afford an S2000. I didn't buy my Vic to break the soundbarrier anyway, so speed is really not an issue.
Wonder what a conversion would cost.....

Rep Power: 322 If it had a K20 or K24 and looked good, I know it would sell... I mean, the monroof on a coupe just doesn't cut it for some people...

Rep Power: 285 some of you think maybe i was gonna get it done to my vic...no way in hell because it would look crappy unless i really poored alot of money into it. but those chops look amazing especailly the side view a few posts up. i love the way the body line in the doors and quarter panels would flow parallel to the chopped top. it would definately be the nicest compact convertible around.
