Rep Power: 0 what color should i paint?
my car's paint job is pretty messed up, thanks to the previous owner... so someday in the near future i'm going to get her painted. i was thinking of 'championship white' (found on JDM Type-R's) or maybe a non-metallic black, or a really light bright silver... what do you guys think?
championship white (from type-r)
non-metallic black (i don't know the real name, from type-r)
silver like this
what else do you guys like?

Slow down there buddy. First off, what color is your car to begin with? Lets's say it's a light color and you want to switch over to black. They need to completely dismantle your car, strip it, sand it, and repaint the entire thing. This of course if you want to do it right. You could always go to MACO and get a $500 jobber and when you open the doors, trunk etc, it's still the original color. Just some food for thought. More Work = More Money!! MMMmmmmmmmm....fooood.
Edit That: I just looked at the pictures and your car is black. Think about the work it would take to get that thing white.

jsut go with championship white, if it is too expensive then just get taffeta white...I can't see the difference between both white.
Also, white imports really gets notice more than the others. Have you seen the white civic on the new honda advertisement?

Rep Power: 0 didn't know the type-r was NHBP too. i meant some kind of black that isn't metallic though.
hmm, so painting from black to white is hard? does it cost a lot to sand down all the paint and start fresh? i don't know anything about auto painting.

Rep Power: 292 Here are your options and I know these things from experience..
1. White:
Pros: Car looks cool
Car stays cool
Can't See Swirl Marks
& Lastly, it Doesnt Fade
Cons: Car will look Dirty when its in need of a wash
2. Black
Pros: Car looks freakin slick
Girlies will dig it...
Black goes with anything so finding a bodykit or rims will be easy..
Cons: Car looks dirty ALWAYS!
Car will get really HOT really easy
Can see swirl marks real easy
Car will fade color over time
3. Silver:
Pros: Never Looks Dirty
BLING FACTOR
Doesnt Fade
Girlies dig the silver
Cant see swirl marks
Easy to match stuff with.. Silver always looks hot.
Cons: Everyone and their mom has a silver car
Cant think of any other cons with a silver car..
Based on this, I'd say get a silver car...

Rep Power: 295 just do a similar colour to what you already have so u dont hafta paint the engine bay/door jambs/trunk etc... Get some sort of black with a flake or something....so when u open the hood it still looks close enough that it wont matter.
