My carbon Lip cracked

My carbon Lip cracked
Well I'm not down grading wiredspeed. BUt I got my Invidia Carbon Fiber Lip in a couple of weeks ago but I just got back home from my 6 month cruise. Well my wife took the Lip in from DHL but she didnt un wrap it. I get home unwrap it and BAM 
crack down the middle of the Lip. 
I was so upset. It was to late during the day to call them so i called them Ricky will be sending me a new one soon. I will post pics tomorrow of the lip. But the lip looks so D@MN hot. cant wait to get a new one.

i guess this is a dunb question:
doenst carbon fiber stonger than some metals?
cuz if it is how can it crack? or is it strong only when u apply the pressure at certain points?
im thinking about buying one but if they crack that easily id reather go with the plastic one
