2001 Honda Civic EX (Sedan) - AEM V2 Intake
Just wanted to say thanks to all those that have shared their wealth of information on this site. Thanks to you guys, (and gals) I did my first engine mod. Pretty simple.... and worth the $265 for the nice sound. Thanks again!

As for any difference... pretty much what I had expected. Below 4k the engine sounds stock - no real power difference. Above 4k the note sounds good, not terribly loud (Music easily drowns it out). At 6k the engine screams "shift!". I'd say that there is slight power gain above 4k, but also I have been mashing the gas more just to hear the intake. Also, my gas milage dropped from 32mpg to 25mpg. Once I get bored with the new noise, I'm sure my gas milage will get higher. Errr... maybe not! I have a GReedy EVO Exhaust on the way.... I guess I can forget about >30mpg now! hahahaa

okay quick question will I/H/E respond well if i get a turbo ? o yea i havent started modding my car yet eitehr althuohg i just orderd Revo SS and Skunk2 shift **** yesterday
Turbo exponentially magnifies any type of free flowing boltons you add. Just look at how well stock FI cars respond to them.
By the way, did you remember to reset your ECU after you installed the intake? Just a suggestion...

once u get ur exhaust ur mileage will never get better, I still love the sound of my exhaust when pushing it and i've had mine on since mid summer, so even months after i still push it harder just to hear the sound sometimes :P
GReddy EVO Exhaust
So, I get home from work and what's sitting on my porch? Bag *** box with GReddy across it.
Muahahha Like a kid at christmas I tore open the box... Bolted it on... and just finished test driving it. I like it. The install was super easy... no instructions with the system but didn't need it. Impact wrench and 12mm socket was about all the tools needed.
Engine Bay - Thanks for the compliments... a few cans of degreaser and some detail spray is all it took. And a bit of wiping
Off topic question: When I turn on the front window defroster the AC light comes on. Is this normal?

Your engine looks great.
Good choice the V2, I have the INJEN RD CAI, and I love it, but some people says V2 are better.
I do felt a difference in higher RPM, and I will continue moding my car as well as you!
keep up the good work and I hope you enjoy it!

I thought the defroster was malfunctioning when I saw this.... been like that from day 1, just never got around to asking the dealer or anyone else that had a 7th gen civic. Thanks again to this website and the members here!
