Good Question.I know I have seen more people with older model civ hatches go with B series.I don't have an explaination though.Maybe the engine is lighter itself and is easier or cheaper to mod......?

BTW: I gave you some good rep for a good question.

Screw the H and B series... Drop a K20 in there... I've heard it done before on a '93 Civic. Try to do a search. I'm sure something will come up...

And street racing is bad. Take it to the tracks... At least that way you dont endanger other people's lives.

Curious, into racing and such, but know nothing about Hondas.

Best bang for the buck. B18C1. Integra GSR motor. Cheapest motor with potential. Easiest install. Plenty of upgrades.

H series. Too heavy for a street car. Problems with install. Parts and motor more expensive.

K series. Nice motor, but more money. Almost twice the motor price, plus all accessories to get install are twice to three times more. Upgrade parts are harder to find, and some will have to be custom fabbed. Electronics are also way more complex to get it running properly. It can be done, but it will cost three times the amount to make the same horsepower.

mmmmmm... go for either b16... or b18... b16 siR or b18 GSR or ITR hope that helps... also the b16 siR is good for turbo also the b18 GSR is good for turbo due to low compression...
