that is the colors they got in and we have to choose from. Corvettes no longer come in red they are having production problems with the victory red and precesion red which was discontinued. So we are weary of buying a car with defected paint. so no red.
so you like daytona sunset orange it was shown at the LA autoshow better image.

Theres THREE different reds. One's available until Fall of 04, one isn't available until fall of 04 and the other, Magnetic Red Metallic, is an extra cost option. One bad paint code doesn't make every one of the same hue a bad color.
I can't imagine the amount of money they'd lose by not making red Corvettes.

I thought the guy meant victory red my bad which despite the lies on GM website .... they gave me a nice email dropping my ordered car saying they are having production problems and no red vettes until they fix which means my order wouldnt arive until january and I dont want to wait that long .

my god there is such a differnce from this car and the c5! once your up and close it really shares very little with the c5! It honestly has some lines of the old c3 and c2 in it. The interior feels like im in a BMW.... its tight and nothing seems loose or out of place. The absence of door handles and the new heads up display read more like a formula one car. Much of the car was pioneered off of stuff gathered from the c5-r
ohh yes every new corvette comes with a video on what your car can do performance wise. it also has a video showing that the new c6 can reach 186mph tested in germany!!!!
it reminds me off RUF and how they test thier cars for customers. Gm uses this dvd rom to prove all the cabibilities of the car! not like im ever going to go 186mph!!!!!! but I am going to use the 1g lateral on the new G meter!!

The chasis is 5 inches shorter 3 inches come from the front and 2 inches come from the rear. The tires are wider than previous z06 c5 and the width of overal all car is an inch smaller. This ended up making a faster more agile corvette...
The automatic transmissions in the car with the performance rear axle are now hydrolic clutchs. Which means it infact a blend between tipronic and auto not true tipronic though I think.
6 speeds come with a short shifter.
dvd says. car is primarly made up of fiberglass except for the front and rear bumpers which are polyurethane as with the roof pannels. 0-60 time is estimated at 4.2 secounds quarter mile is 12.6..
