I'd have to agree and say that the driver side is definitely lighter than the passenger side. Maybe its the lighting.. But the very tip/corner looks purely red/not smoked.

It is a great look though ... I like my tezzas like this (was a fun DIY for sure).. now if I was only happy with the outcome (a little too dark for my tastes - and some overspray is noticeable to the picky (ie me))

Just to let some of those wondering how it was done..

Myself, I used VHT NightShades (or NiteShades - forgot spelling). And I used this thread: Detailed smoked out taillights DIY w/ pictures thanks to HustleLikeMOFO

it's the lighting, i got it all. lol.. i used spray on tint from testors.com and then a coat of clear coat, also from testors.

i personally dont really liek how smoked tails look on black cars because then the rear of the car becomes blank and looks weird.

they look ok though..... IMO it just looks better on brighter colored cars.

I agree it looks better on silver. Still the black looks okay if there's some red showing.

i like how it looks better on black cars than silver. it sticks out too much on silver. looks cleaner on black. you need to shave that civic emblem now
