Hit a curb in the rain =(

Man... i was driving home from work around 6:50 A.M. It just rained about an hour ago and I started turning on this street and when I got almost around it, the car wouldn't turn anymore and it kept going straight... nothing I could do to get it to stop. I hit the curb dead on with my passenger wheel. I bent the axle, lower control arm, and all that good stuff under there. Driving to Honda 20 mins later was an experience.

They called me the next day.. 2800 for repairs so... next time i'm gonna be more careful..

2004 Civic Si.. had it for 3 months now. It feel's like I lost it lol

so what about insurance ? your saying nothing at all is covered from that incedent because normally after something like that your car will never be the same again.

OUCH! That's a lot of $$$.

One little thing: Do you have stock Michelins on that SI? I know the RSX came with Michelins, and they slide like mad in the rain. I'd change them if it rains a lot where you live.

Well first off how much is your deductable? Because your insurance isnt going to go up that much.

$2800 seems like a rip off if you ask me. Take it to another shop for an estimate. Honda is a big ripoff. I was quoted one time $530 to replace rear drums and front brake pads. I went to another shop, go new rotors, drums, pads and shoes for $250. I guarantee you if you go to a auto shop, you will pay $1000 less then that. All that price right there is honda labor charges which are rediculious. Shop around first, dont let honda be the only place that will do it.

You need to learn how to do work yourself so you don't have to pay some dealer to do it.
