You know when you rev the engine that the engine moves a little, well this helps keep the engine still. You are actually losing some hp and torque everytime that engine moves, but its just a very small amount. Well I guess in our little 4 bangers we need every hp and torque we can get. This also helps get rid of some of the wheel hop.
