Check out Joe's (Madwheel) turbo. He's got that up for sale. I saw it in person and I think its a pretty nice setup. I would jump on that but no funds available for car mods at this time. If not, then I guess a custom setup would be the other way to go seeing that SF is **** now and I really haven't read too much about the TSI kit. You already have some nice rims and bodykit don't you? Unless you got rid of it. I say turbo charge it. IMO, it's worth the money. If you don't have rims, I have my Racing Hart C2 for sale also. If you're interested, you can PM me and maybe we can work out a deal. CT isn't a long drive for me. My cousin is in Bridgeport so I can meet up halfway.

edit - Okay. Makes a lot of sense now that I checked out your profile and see that its a different car and why you would be looking for rims, kit, and etc...

Okay, so I'm a newbie .. but I still want to contribute

The route to go basically depends on YOU the driver.

If you want speed, then putting the money towards a motor swap or turbo would be the route. This option wouldn't be my first choice.

If you are fine with the speed of your civic and want looks - ie all show, no go - then the first things would be: Rims, drop, body kit(s), ?spoiler?, I.C.E, (exhaust) These options wouldn't be in any order - just options. What is done first can all be decided by you. Hell, you can also choose the do-nothing route and keep your money for a rainy day

It seems like you've already cleared your headlights and changed your mirrors which look nice. Though I might have blacked out the heads, again this choice is yours as it is your car and you are the owner.

Lets say I wanted to do up my car ... I'd do:

Rims then drop. I.C.E (HU, speakers + tweeters, sub, amps, and alarm). After these purchases, I'd look at how much money I would have and decide between: seats + doors panels , catback exhaust (sorry hate the stock can), body kit/lip kit + paint

Again, its your choice - so good luck deciding what to do with your cash.

Hmm...I say, its a waste of money to spend it on tryin to make the civic go fast, if you aren't into racing. (MY OPINION) I would go with drop first, then rims, then body kit....then do the sound system. OR...the sound system first, and then everything else. Depends on what priority you have, if you would rather have a pimped lookin civic that doesn't bump, or a stock civic that does.....

i have $ and jobs lined up for more $ than what i am making now. i wrote that in my post. i dont have just the $5000... i have more than that - the $5000 is just extra... and i didnt say i wasnt goin to work again full time... i mean gee - an extra $5000 in your bank account appears out of nowhere thats yours to keep and do what u want with... plus u already have a ft job and go to school and your bills are paid off... what do u think YOU would do?

btw - the LAST thing i worry about is money... i have my prioritites straight and its finally nice to have a big chunk of change to do whateverthefcukiwant with.

i think im just gunna fix up the outside (i have some scratches and my front is all bruised) and start with the interior (system, seats [selling si anyone?]) then see what i have left for maybe turbo or swap... but ill have more than the $5000 before i get laid off (dec 1 is last day) so im sure ill be able to do a few more things... im just lookin for ideas - not flames...

thanks for the posts ppl - keep em coming!

hey mndthegap - i think the rims are a definite YES. and youre right... i have wanted them forever... u and tom get the ex rider guy mike to gimme a discount and ill get em... ill even ask him to throw in a keychain for u and the wifey....

2 options

1: if your truely eager to upgrade your civic, go N/A and research some parts..id tell you my set up but...

2: save for a new car...WRX? maybe 01 model, but my .02 get a EK and go N/A there are swaps out there that are vicious, although they lack in hp, their response and midrange powerband is better suited for the street.
