extra layer of tint?

my car has like...the lightest tint possible. any chance that i can get it re-tinted? i kno taking the tint off is a bitch...but is it possible to just add on a new layer of reflective tint?

just remeber if you have say 50% tint that if you get a new set of 35% tint over that, it would actually be 35% of the 50% which would give you a total of 17.5% tint.

yea ive been doing the math for it just in case...but i figured if i do do something like that...the tinting place would kno what they doing and figure it out right? and plus...the price would be the same right? just like what i got the car tinted all around in the first place?

if you layered it you will ahve to worry about the percentage being lower and not legal at that point. I have seen people layer tint to only pull it all off and re-tint the windows because of bubbles and just looking crappy.

tint really isnt that hard to take off. just start in a corner picking at it, then peel it off. spray with window washer as you peel to make it easier.

smells nasty as hell...grampa and myself took the tint off of an old subaru once...we had like a hairdryer at it and all..it was real stinky

I had a camaro when I was 16 and had had it tinted. Then I got them tint over about a year later. That was over 4 years ago and its still on there. Car doesn't run but its blacked out

what % do you have? i'm getting mind re-done but i'm just having them take it off and re-do...this is also costing me $150, which isn't bad. $200 was the first time for 35%

spray amonia on the tint then place a garbage bag on the tint with the amonia on it. Let it sit for about 15-20 min. then it should come right off with no problem
