Get Speakers or Tint?
I have about $200 burning a hole in my pocket and am trying to decide, should I get components for the front doors (I already have an amp waiting), or should I hold off on the speakers and get my windows tinted? I am leaning towards the tint, but am not sure what % to get (70% is the legal limit in PA
). I don't want to tint and then get hit w/a ticket, and am also sorta worried it'll fade to purple. I have never had a car w/tint b4. Any advice?
Good, I'm not the only one....

Maybe somebody can be reassuring....
I have had 3% tint way back in the day and never had problems with it fading to purple. It ws dark as hell, never got pulled over for it. But with the new laws now, i think you need 35 or 30% all the way around. If it is cheap tint it can fade but I would get 3m tint. You can get a decent set of components for $200 also. IMO i would go with the tint first.
depends, is the area your in heat your *****? if so, the tint
think of it this way, great music or great climate inside your car
most tint shops over here in cali give lifetime warranty. if it fades or changes colors, they'll do it over for you. paid $150 for mines w/lifetime warranty. did 4% rear, 35% front. i wish i would've tinted the front more =|

I would get a decent set of components first. I'm in the process if getting my new audio system installed so I guess I'm biased towards the speakers. I've never really had much desire for a tint - I guess it would be nice but I feel a decent set of components would be more practical and give you more for your money.
I sure wish my car was newer

Tint. It actually keeps the car from getting as hot. Where I live, it can be a problem. Also, any reputable tint shop will give you a guarantee that it won't turn purple for as long as you own the car.
