its not as dark as the pic makes it out to be. tint all depends on the lighting.
my .02 the color or fading tint looks horrible, expesially if its not PERFECT!!!

You can't even get tint in IL though.

Secondly, tint is legal in Illinois. I don't know where you got that info from, but it's wrong. Legally, however, you're not supposed to have darker than 35% on any window, and there's certain measurements for the eyebrow. The tint I have is totally acceptable to cops. I've even driven around Chicago and gotten pulled over by one who was harassing me like mad, but he didn't mention the tint one bit.

Anyway, for your car, I'd say to go with the combo I have. I think it looks best, but since your paint is somewhat metallic, I think you should go with a semi-metallic tint. On my dad's car, he has tint that's almost a gunmetal color. It costs a little bit more, but I belive it'd look much better on your car. Give the description I just gave you to any reputable tint shop and they should know what you're talking about.

Honestly, I'd take the $140 that you intend to put into the windows, and put it into making that thing not look like an off road vehicle.
i have 65% fronts, 96% rear. and this is all around besides the front windshield.
you can refer it as 35% front an 4%rears.
i think 35% (which is really 65%, however u want to measure it by) all around would be dark enough. i live in cali and the law here is 65% tinted for front and rear is any %. mirrror tint is illegal along with colored tint... basically any kinda tint that reflects if illegal (depending which state your in).
after getting my tint, its hard to back out of my driveway during the night because i have to stick my head out the window to look out for pedestrians and other oncomming things.
heres a pic of the side of my car. i got more pics of the tint shot, just pm me n ill send em or post em here.

Well, I wouldn't have bought 205/40 tires, which is what that looks like, or I'd be lowering it. That wheel gap is bigger than stock.
