As far as I know, the 8thgens would be coming out in late 2005 as 2006 models, Pretty sure honda is making a 5 year run on 7thgen like they did with 6thgen. And about 8thgencivic.com, I'm pretty sure Derek is on top of that Already.

OMG. When will people get in their head that the 8th gen won't be till the 2006 Civic. OMG I hate stupid people. 5 years means, 2001, 2002 2003, 2004, 2005. The 2006 model is the redesign. Oh and to the dumb asses that think just cause the 2004 has new head lights, front bumber, tail lights and rear bumper it is the 8th gen, you are dumbasses too. So since the interior is different on the 2003 than the 2001 one that must meen it is the 8th gen and the 2004 is the 9th gen. I hate idiots. They should all be put on an island in the south pacific and be nuked.

therefore
8th gen = the 2006 Civic = coming out in year 2005
(theoretically, because only Honda knows for sure when they arr releasing)
the ones that came out in last year in 2003 are *2004 Civics* and they are still 7th gens, except restyled not redesigned
Honda would lose some money if they started rolling out the 8th gens, because they just refreshed the 7th gens. it's gonna be at least another year before they start sending out the 8th gens.

im done with civics
i rather have a car that some1 would look twice because its a nice car
a few civics are nice, pretty much just the ones with a nice body kit.. thats all, cant really pick a race with them, cause that would just be murder (exception of boost)
heard of the v6 accord hybrid?
look very freakn interesting, pretty sure its not gonna be as fast as the current one and is going to be alot heavier, still im sure its gonna be very popular

WTF are you talking about there has never been any plans for a v6 hybrid, unless you are talking about hybrid as in putting two different engines together but there will never be anything like that coming from any factory car. Oh and when you talk about raping civics or should I say murdering them you need to specify the car that you drive to make yourself not look like a dumbass.

i have a 01 civic<good daily driver, im actually keeping it because of that>
my sister has a v6 accord.. big speed difference
January 5, 2004 - Those who have been dreaming of an Accord with V6 performance and the fuel economy of a Civic will soon be rewarded. Honda announced earlier today that it would be launching its V6 Accord Hybrid this autumn. The new model will use Honda's Integrated Motor Assist (IMA) hybrid system and will achieve fuel economy equivalent to a four-cylinder Civic while providing V6 performance, thanks to its Variable Cylinder Management (VCM) technology. The V6 Accord Hybrid is clearly intended to compete with Toyota's mid-size Prius and it is poised to do so well, with projected fuel economy equal to the compact Civic in a mid-size package, and performance surpassing that of its Accord V6 Sedan sibling, already powerful at 240-horsepower.
The good news isn't over. Along with the announcement of the 2005 Accord Hybrid, Honda promises to make use of its brand-new VCM technology in another model, to be introduced later this year. Honda stated that "VCM allows for the deactivation of three of the engine's six cylinders under certain conditions, such as highway cruising, to deliver even greater fuel efficiency with no sacrifice in performance" and left ample room for speculation as to what new VCM-enabled model would be released next.
