Ram Air
So I had an aluminum tubing thing lying around in my garage and I decided to do make a ram air out of it. I think some people had this same idea before but I don't think anyone did it the way I did it... Anywho, here are the pictures, they are pretty self explanatory.
Any gains... I'm not sure, probably not, but I feel a little pull from the light but it could be all in my head. But it does make that side of my engine and my filter alot cooler. More air into the engine is always good...

1 problem... none of that air is actually going into the filter because you ran the pipe to the blocked off end. Continue the tubing up the sides of the filter then seal it off so all the filter gets is the air from down there. Oh, and I'd clean up the lower mouth so it doesn't look so ghetto from the outside.

actually my filter does not have the blocked off end. My filter looks exactly like the one pictured below:

You're right, I need to make the mouth less ghetto. buahaha

I don't think I'd use dryer vent tubing for that. I'd probably use something a little more durable that would withstand air. Going on the highway at a decent speed would probably split that thing in no time. Good idea, bad choice of material. And like they said, the opening should be cleaned up some.
