DIYperformance Group Forming (Join!!!)
Founded in RI and now with members nationwide, we are a group committed to uniting the “true” enthusiasts in the automotive and motorcycling industry- the DIY’ers (Do-It-Yourself). Whether your sport is street, track, audio systems or all out show, we want to bring together everyone who does their own work on their vehicle. Although not many are skilled in every field as long as you do the work that you can, with the tools, knowledge and experience that you have, then we encourage you to join. We accept all cars, trucks/SUV, and motorcycles, and we do not favor “imports” or “domestics”, we are together because we share the same pride in our work.
Now this is NOT a club. A “club” is a bunch of friends or enthusiasts that you hang out and ride with. A “group” is a large combination of both clubs AND individuals. Our “group” is not replacing a club in any way. By being a member with us you are getting credit and respect from others by displaying to them that you are a do-it-yourselfer.
Why? In this industry there are many people who “pay” to win. When any DIY’er talks about their vehicle, they always make it a point to state that they did it themselves, because it is respected. We are simply trying to just make one nationwide group that will draw immediate recognition to the owner of the vehicle when the DIYperformance name is seen. If you do not do your own work, it is not our intention to insult you. If anything, we hope to inspire you to start learning. After all, what’s the point of having a hobby if you don’t participate in it? If you have not yet done any modifications but have all the intention to do your own work, then please contact us. You may even find other members in your area who will be happy to guide you, because we respect each other for our efforts.
There is nothing you need to do for this group except tell people about it so we can grow. Your participation is all up to you, so if you’d only like to say that you’re a part of it, then leave it at that. If you wish to help in any way, then so be it. The larger we grow, the more recognized the name will be. We do urge you to pass this letter on to anyone you feel would be interested. Most people feel more comfortable coming into this group with a friend anyways.
What to do: send an email to DIYperformancegroup@yahoo.com. Tell us who you are, what you drive, what mods you’ve made and will be making along with your city/state. Also let us know if you would like your email shared with other members. You will get a welcome letter further explaining any details, and will be updated with newsletters. We also eventually will have a website.
We hope to hear from you soon, thank you.

I have plenty of people in my "club". We just decided to take our "club" and invite anyone nationwide to stick together because they can do their own work. But it's tough to bring this up on forums, because all the kids who use mommy's checkbook to win get jealous and try to tear up the threads.
And watch the "poor people" comment. I'm from Pawtucket RI. If you left that black 03Ex of yours in a Pawtucket overnight with that kind of attitude, those "poor" people might be nice enough to leave your steering wheel in the driveway for you!!! ha ha

Funny, out of everywhere I posted, I only get flamed on THIS forum, yet I get the most response from the members of THIS site. Keep it up guys. And remember to tell us in the email what site you came from. Thanks everyone.
PS. I'm leaving for Florida tonight for a week, if you don't get an email response, you'll get it as soon as I return. Thank you.

Dude, your an *******. If your job requires so much intelligence then you should be able to tell the difference between sarcasm and serious. We're not theives, idiot. But how can you be such an *** to say that you'd never drive into "low life" areas? Are you so high and mighty? Are you better than other people because your job pays more than others??? You actually think that makes you better, you ****? See, this is what I mean. Anyone who DOES NOT do their own work just gets jealous at people who know cars and try to bash up the threads. If you read the post it states "if you don't do your own work it is not our intention to insult you, but hopefully inspire you to start learning". You don't have to be an *******, man.
And Oxygen, I don't think people who oppose me fit into the "mommy's checkbook" category. I don't want you to misunderstand what I mean. I get alot of people that oppose this idea for many reasons, but they all do NOT do their own work. That is why I'm hoping to get them to start learning. I've just gotten years experience of seeing people lose to others because they have money. However they got the money, good for them. But participate, don't just pay to win, that's weak. And thanks for the props- if you do your own work or are now going to start, contact me man. We'd love to have you on board.

So just because I work for my money in a job that requires some skill and intelligence and am able to afford more than the average wellfare pinching, chicken farming, burnout ***** I am using my parent's money. Try again man. And no way in hell would I every bring my car into some low life area and park it. It is intelligence like that that separates those with good jobs with those without jobs. It is cool though, you guy back in RI can steal all you want because you sure as hell can't afford it. Wase your time on school, not stupid clubs that will get you nowhere.

Enough fighting. Obviously no one here likes your "club". So take it somewhere else. This thread is over.
