Yeah, i was interested in a fiber images cf hood...i don't like the oem so i was interested in the M3 style. There is no pic on the site so i e-mailed them about it and i got no response. So guess what, i ordered a VIS one from somebody else....i'm not kissing anybody's ***
VIS makes good quality stuff, but I'll tell you, take it to a body shop and let them put a couple of coats of clear on it. The resin that VIS uses isnt 100% UV protected, ive noticed some yellowing in my hood, its not bad, but it will be without proper UV protection, Im clearing mine as soon as the weather warms up a little, may get a new one. But the fitment and weave is excellent, only complaint I have is having to put a coat of clear, which that should be something that is taken care of by them. I dunno why they dont do it.

Looks good fly, very nice.

definetly worth the wait. I don't think I could have a cf trunk, if they did make one for sedans. I think I would have to change underwear everytime I saw my own car.

Well for those of us that like a lower profile, less contrast is desirable I think the weight savings is nice, but I would have painted it to match.

Screw that, I paid for the carbon fiber and people are damn well gonna know that I have it. Just wait till I get my carbon fiber body kit from my sponsor......hehehe.

Hopefully in a week my carbon fiber interior will be done too.

^^ Well if that's what is important to you, then it's cool. I've blown alot of money on parts that only _I_ know I have, but that suffices. Plus, it's safer

After the kit, it's going to look like a patchwork quilt! JK

Just wait, you have no idea what' I've got in store for this car. This spring I am overlaying the roof with CF. I'll have to decide from there if I want the whole car done in CF. I probably will get the fenders done in CF too.

But doesn't overlaying metal with CF (instead of replacing) negate the weight saving purpose of CF? As for an entire CF car, it's really your call but that seems a bit silly.

nice... but it would look better if it were a shaved cf trunk... the silver near the plate and the plate make it look poo-ish...

IN MY OPINION AND ONLY MY OPINION!

Looks real good fly. I also like the trim piece. A silver cf would have looked real good if you wanted to color match the car.

I've seen the silver cf, and I don't like it at all. It looks like white primer to me. CF looks classy coz the black/graphite weave just reflects a certain way.

I was at a gas station today and this guy who must have been at least 50 years old came over to me. He was asking what kind of car I had. He said he loved the trunk and hood. He said "I can't believe that you drive this car on the street." It was a major ego boost for me. hehehe

is the part where the license plate goes cf, or black? Most of the trunks are just black there.

HUH? There is the regular CF that everyone always sees which is what Fly has, and then there is also the light colored one that is pretty much silver. They also have the colored CF (Blue, Red, etc) The Silver CF shiet looks like a kinda chrome IMO...not my taste.
However, the CF trunk looks hot Fly...keep it up...

It's not "pure" carbon fiber, it's some kind of hybrid. I read about it before, but I'm not really into that **** so I didn't pay much attention.

The "Silver" Carbon Fiber is just fiberglass. Companies making these parts are screwing everyone because they charge more for it than the regular carbon, which is a crock. Its about $8 per yard compared to $30+ per yard for cf.

The colored carbon fiber(Blue, Red, etc.) isnt Carbon Fiber either. Its Kevlar.
