shift boot on Auto
shift boot on Auto
Well, I got my "Mugen" (
) shift boot in, and decided to install it today. I'm not really sure if I like the way it looks right now, so we'll see. This could just be temporary. Anywhere, here are the pics.

I think it'd look better if my **** wasn't so big.....
If the Momo wasn't so long, I think it'l def. look better. We'll see, I'll probably wind up getting the Manual console thingy....so this is most likely going to be a temporary fix.

Looks good fellas
I don't care if not everyone considers a manual shift boot on an automatic tranny car "clean" or even ricey, but to me it looks better. I like how our shift locks are underneath the top of the shifter like a trigger, and not to the side where you have to press it in with your thumb. But the automatic shifter still looks whack. It's all skinny at the bottom of the stick.

no my goal wasn't to fake anyone out. I think it really does look better.
PS
the gear indicator column (P,R,N,D,2,d3) is also on the cluster, so there is no loss when put a manual shift boot over the shifter console. (for those who didn't know)

^^thats why i did it in the first place. i hated the way stock looked and at first i didnt like the idea of doing the manual look on a automatic but after a while i felt it started to look pretty good, the silver **** and black boot flows nice with the rest of the car.

how do u install those shiftboots? i like the ones that wrap around the entire automatic shifter assembly thingy and would like to do it, any DIY out there for it? i especially like the one with the stock shift ****, so if someone can tell me how to do it thanks.
you can do what i did.
just buy the manual piece from honda its like $20
and replace the auto one with the manual and the boot will cover the
shifter.

or if you wanna be ghetto like i did, take off the stock shifter (theres 2 screws in the front), take off the console, slip the boot over the whole shifter box (the box with P, R, N, D, D2, D3)and just slip the console back on.
