what do u think is a fair asking price for a 2001 civic ex 2dr 5spd. I have 17" rims, aem intake, short shifter, fog lights, and nuespeed springs. I have checked around with all the dealers in the area, and they are all selling 2001 civic EX's for around 13-15k.. which seems pretty high to me, but my area is pretty wealthy. When i went to the dealer and told him i had a civic, the salesman asked me if it had an appeal or if it was stock.. (i didn't have my car with me) and i said i have upgraded it.. and he said, oh then we usually give u more money for ur trade in when it's upgraded because it sells easier around here... My car is in excellent shape, and only has 20K miles on it...i was thinking for about 13,5K for private sell.. any thoughts, suggestions, feedback would be great, Thanks.

Im thinking you'd barely get 12,5 or less for it regardless of the custom parts. The salesmen (unless you knew him) would tell you anything if he thought he might get a sale out it.. Good luck with the sale..

yeah...i live in a rich community also, not that i'm rich, i just go to school there...price quote i got for my 01 EX 5 speed with 22k miles was 11k. I have 17's, revo SS, FIPK II, stuff like that...they dun give a sh*t... you should just settle for anything around 11-13k, you'll be REALLY lucky if u can get 13k for it... if you see the dealer selling it for 13k, they're obviously not going to pay 13k for yours, nor is anyone else.

yea i wish i could sell mine but ha i def. wont get 12,000 for mine its got like 65,000 miles on it and been having alot of problems with it lately ahh im gona try to get rid of mine after i pay it off in 06

They hate short shifters and suspension upgrades I hear when selling cars. Along with illigal tints and stuff
