Here's the deal with the VP. It replaces the DX in the coupe for 2004. In the sedan, it's slotted between the DX and the LX. The VP is basically the old DX, but with a few more options, giving it more "value" for the money, hence the VP name.
Here's the options over the DX:
A/C standard
Center Console with Armrest and Storage Compartment
AM/FM/CD Audio System with 4 Speakers and Clock
Automatic trans only in VP sedan
for $1400.
I got it because I wanted a cheap but reliable car with plenty of aftermarket support. It can be more fun to mod than the other models, simply because there's more stuff that you can add to it. Painting door handles, adding power accessories, sway bars and stuff makes the car fun to mod. None of these things are difficult or expensive. I doubt I've put enough money in it to equal the difference between the DX and LX.
