I crashed yesterday *help*
Yesterday at 3pm I crashed. I was making a right on a street. I drew a picture of the accident. The maroon car didn't stop or see me. I'm guessing he did a rolling stop. I had the rightaway, he tried going on the east lane, but he didn't see me. I don't know how he missed me. Then bam he hit me, we crashed in front of a cop, so that was cool. hehe, yeah he wasnt the owner of the car, he didnt have a license neither. but the car was insured, so im okay. the cop was telling me that he knows it wasnt my fault and he knows the mexican driver was responsible for the accident. im not sure if he admitted to the accident, but he should've. i think he may have, he was driving an old car. his bumper even fell off. lol. yeah damage to the car was okay, headlight doesnt work, got some of the bumper pretty bad and the side fender. im not sure whats going to happen now, i think his insurance might pay. i think my car is still drive able, but the tire sometimes touches the bumper side whatever. they're going to call me today. also when they asked me if i was in pain, i told them no. at night my neck was hurting and my back does hurt a little. still does right now, but i dont know if i should say anything. might be too much trouble, poor guy. i hope i get a rental car, are they free? my bday is this weekend and i want to go out.

rentals depend on isurance coverage, and if you are hurt claim it or else it will be you paying for it later on when it becomes a real problem because you felt sorry for this guy. Make sure the car is returned to stock form and bitch if it isn't and make sure your body is back to perfect working condition before you settle anything with his insurance.
Good to hear you survived with only minor pains. head to heads can be very dangerous even at slow speeds. I have seen many nights as a EMT where head to heads result in 3-4 deaths per accident.

man, if your in pain, tell his insurance company because they will end up paying for you to go to the doctor. Dont feel bad for him, some people shouldnt be driving period. As with a rental car, some bodyshops have rentals, I dont know how it is in California, but also it depends on your age. check it out.

Rep Power: 383 ill have to say is damn that sucks, but I thought Ca was a no fault state so it doesn't matter if it was flat out his fault or admits it, you insurance will still go up cause your at more of a risk and so forth, but I would say have a physician look at you and if it is serious then tell them about your pain, and hope you can get your car fixed soon, i dont know what i would do with out mine

Rep Power: 0 That sucks man their insurance company should pay for a rental car for you and if your neck is hurting you should report it and see a doctor just incase. Because if it hurts worse later and you try to say it then the insurance company is going to try and weasel out of whatever the cost for treatment is.

Rep Power: 0 yeah it wasnt head on head, more like corner to corner, if that makes sense. my bros were in my car too, they didnt get hurt. yeah my aunts a lawyer, im gonna ask her. ill prolly will go see a doc

Rep Power: 0 No but his insurance said they will pay for the rental car if it is his fault. first i gotta pay up front, then they will reimburst if it is his fault. my insurance said they can gimme one but it can only be $20 a day. if its more, i pay the difference. but i can only get one, if my car is in the shop.

Rep Power: 0 Yep AFAIK, In Canada, with full coverage you get a rental car absolutely free. Usualy you get a comparable car. Once I got a 2003 Corolla and another time I got a base model 2003 Accord. I would be angry if I lived in LA paying the rates that you do and they dont provide simple things like that. When I had my accident (Not at fault) I didnt have to pay for anything except the fuel in the rental car. No fees, charges, taxes, deductables, NOTHING.

Yep AFAIK, In Canada, with full coverage you get a rental car absolutely free. Usualy you get a comparable car. Once I got a 2003 Corolla and another time I got a base model 2003 Accord. I would be angry if I lived in LA paying the rates that you do and they dont provide simple things like that. I suggest u should go for a body checkup anyways.
Sometimes injuries hide inside your body.
And should be discover as early as possible.
do you guys have any clues how hard it is to get money for injuries out of insurence companies right now? in the early-mid 1990s there were tons of insurence claims made where the person wanted money for bogus injuries that were sustained during an accident..... but guess what, insurence companies cracked down on that.
right now if you want to get money from insurence for injuries the only way to do so is to be seriously injured. you can try to fake an injury but make sure you go to the "right" doctor who will split the money with you. basically, its really hard....
either way if you claim $ for injuries it will be a long and tedious process cuz the insurence companies really investigate these injury claims now.

Rep Power: 339 sucks. tell your insurance about your back aching, they will tell you where to go and what needs to be done in order to report all that. you may have to go to a hospital, just for legal purposes.

Rep Power: 0 California is not a "no-fault" state. We are VERY lucky (in this sense) to be living in Cali. Your insurance should not go up a cent due to this. The other guy was at fault, he will bear the responsibility!
