Hey everyone, ok this is what happened. I have stock headlights and i was gonna clear them, so i do everything and i notice that some of that black sealent got in one of them before i put them back together, so i get some goo off(since the black stuff is sticky) and rub it off, after i rub it off i notice that it just took messed up the headlight, the spots where i used the goo off it made it blurry and crap, now it looks like crap cuz that spot isnt clear(btw its a big *** spot) so now im trying to do something to the plastic to make it look clear again, i heard i can use a torch and melt the plastic so its clear again(i tried using a fire from a lighter but it didnt really work), anyother suggestions other then just buying new headlights

i dont' know if this would work, but u can try some ether......i use that to take off grease all the time. I don't know if it would work with that goo stuff or not.

K everyone, everything went to hell, i tried different things cuz i was desperate, and now you cant even see through it, lol. Anyone know where i can get just a left headlight for around $30-40? Or maybe just the lense for like $20-30? If not im buying new headlights tonight.
For you that are interested to know how i ****ed it up, here it goes. Ok do i see some of that tar looking stuff on the chrome, so i get some goo off and wipe it off, then i notice i got the lense too, and it looks foggy and shitty. So I just try windex, doesnt work. Then i try a really light sand paper, still foggy. Then i decide to use fire to melt the plastic and hopefully make it see through(ive seen this done on case mods, where you use a blow torch to get the edges of plexiglass clear, only problem is that it wasnt a blow torch, it was a lighter). So after i do that it ends up looking even shittier, smoother, but you cant see as much through it. So at this point i just decide to have fun, i pour like a cup full of goo off onto the lense(very flamable) and end up just making it all black, lol. Anyways after that i just yused a dremal to make it "ok" so i can still use it as a temp thing, but i do not plan on driving at night, cuz its REALLY bad, lol.
