i don't know really what forum to put this in because it is a story and a question so here it goes. Earlier today i was rushing out of my house to get some stuff done and i jumped in my car. I started up my car...put in in reverse and let it idle up the driveway, but before i knew it i hit my dads truck which was sitting halfway in the driveway. I stopped and pulled forward to see what damage i had done. Now my dads truck is a jacked up ranger so it didn't do anything to it not even a scratch...my civic on the other hand was not so lucky. It cracked my OEM bumper and shattered the taillight on the driver side. Needless to say this ruined my day for today.

Now for my question what do you guys think i should do...i was planning on getting a body kit on down the line but should i just go ahead and get the rear part? If i should get the body kit give me some good ones. Should i stay with stock tails or go with euros?

i will post picks on the damage when i can get to my digital camera

If you get a kit, get ALL of it. Having just the rear will look odd. Also, most kits have lips for the rear, so you'll need a stock bumper anyway. As for the tails, either get stock ones or get the stock '04 tails.

if u wanna see how bad JUST the rear looks, take a look at my car, i have a winterized pic of it with JUST the rear bumper from my body kit. the car looks really odd from the side..... if getting a body kit, get the hwole thing

TSUNAMI KITS ARE UGLY. You should get a KIT... fiberglass? get BUDDY CLUB 2 .. I got mines for $825 at NOPI.. a lil expensive but the fit, finish, and look will put a smile on your face.. if you want eurothane... XENON looks very nice..... I was gonna get it but then Atlanta gets really hot... and the friends that I have that has eurothane kits got chips on them... and the muffler melts the rear bumper..... but then again.. its all on where you get it painted and how you place ur crap... anyway.... my opinions.. yay..

04 LIGHTS LOOK PHAT.. I'm gonna buy them really soon.

Get a full replacement bumper and full kit, itll be cheaper in the long run unlesss you wanted a lip kit. And stick with stock tails wether if be EDM, 04 or the 01-03

they are always having auctions on ebay for just one tail light. keep checking there. or post something in the wtb forum, surely someone messed up their passenger side and just got euros or something and maybe want to sale the driver side one...

yea stick with stock tails....incidentally, does anyone know if the EDM tails for '04 are any different or aer they still teh same?

I think going with the 04 stock lamp will be great, looks great. And as far as I know, I see no difference bet. the housing of the lights.

the only difference in the 01-03 and the 04 coupe tails are that there are 4 lights in the 01-03, and the 04 have only 3 lamps, so you'd have to midify the wiring and lamp setup. i have ordered mine, from honda, cause i couldn't find any onluine anywhere. i ended up paying 115 per tail light for them.

G5 is not a bumper replacement. You'll still need a bumper. You can always get the avenger kit. How bad is the bumper? I had damage on mine because a car hit me from the side. But I just took off the bumper myself and stepped on it from the inside to even it out. It looks pretty good now compared to what it looked like before.

3 lights in 04 tail? Are you sure? How about the corner marker? Did you count that?
