in the back of my mind i knew this day had to come one day or another. i work in a plaza where EVERY store has shopping carts so the odds were against me. i'm at my job and i hear my alarm going off, i go out and see a stray shopping cart resting on my fender, my coworker saw it happen, but there was nothing he could do, he was to far away. a stray shopping cart got picked up by the wind and rolled down hill and slammed my driver side fender and left a nice little dent
anyone know how much it costs to get a little sized dent out? its about a inch big. if it costs more than i want to spend, i may bitch at the store the cart belonged to and see if i can make them pay for it....or atleast half. i'll see if i can get some picks up later tomorrow when theres daylight out. this sucks.
pics of my pain below....

well, I had about 4 dents removed from my car at the Car wash by my house. Cost like $84 for all of them...they have a bunch of guys that do ding removal. Sorry to hear about that though...hope it isn't too much.
The shop most likely wont do anything. Samething happened to my mom at walmart. It made a huge dent in the door. It was cheaper to replace the door, than get the dint pulled and painted. Its an act of god, so nothing will happen. You can try however. The shore might accept the damage, but good luck.

Most places have signs up in their parking lots that state that they can't be held responisble for damages due to carts. But a lot of places will take responsiblility if someone wasn't doing their job of collecting the carts in the parking lot.
same thing happen to me man. i had my car parked right outside the office i work at and those big stupid trash cans blew over and left a big ol dent in my quater panel and this was a week b4 import xpression show so i had to hide it with my display luckily no one saw it. lol if you look in my members ride that ix pic you will see the poster i had thats hiding my dent. i got it fixed.
You shouldnt have left the parking lot...
Also dent king charges alot more than that...atleast here they do
They charge 120.00 to fix an elbow dent...liek if you were to put your elbow on the hood and apply pressure...I HAD two dents...now i have a CF hood...screw dent king

that's why i park my car away from others, even if it is obvious. people have no respect these days for other peoples posessions (in this case a car). i've seen people just swing there door open not realizing how much clearance they had between them and the car next to them, and *bam!* the sound you cringe at. once me and some friends were outside eating at a burger joint and these kids pull up next to a BRAND NEW (no license plate) honda odyssey, and swing there door open and hit the side door. they laughed, and sped right off quickly ( i wanted to smack the sh*t out of them). i can imagine how pissed off i would be if i came out to see a dent and that no one was to leave a note or something (these days pretty much is non existent). what do some people care? they don't, it's not their car.

I bought my NBP 03 civic 1 year ago and few days after I got it, I noticed a small dent on the passenger side door. Kept on bitching for few days and a week later, I saw another dent...
Since I can see my parking space from my balcony, I kept an eye on the car one saturday morning and found out that the dent was made by the ford escape's door that is parked next to my car. Came down running and as soon as the lady owner saw me, she shout to her kid :" be careful when you open the door, don't mess up someone else's car" I was f....ing mad and looked at my door but only found a small sctratch that went away easily. The same freaking afternoon, I went to rent a bright red F150 and waited till 9PM to come home, slammed the door twice leaving some fire breathing red dents on the escape's front and rear door, parked the F150 far away from my place that night and brought it back on sunday morning...
I know what I did was wrong but some people never learn unless the same thing happens to them so I was $50 short but damn I felt good and since that day, never was my car dented again...

the thing is, i did park out of the way, me and 2 other coworkers take up the side corner of the parking lot. theres 6 spaces and we park right down the middle to take up 2 spaces each. the problem was that day i was parked on the outside and the parking spots are on the bottom of a downhill slope. the wind hooked up with the cart, it got some speed and POW! so theres no one i really can get mad at. my dads friend works at a body shop and he said he can take care of it for me since its a pretty small dent but its just the principle of things. i take pride in the way my car looks, it may not have a kit or even rims but its clean, shiny and it was dent free.

My team has a body shop and we charge just for the paint job we need to do. Most dents we work with that are easy to fix we will bang into place, just like yours. However it still leaves a wave. We try to fix as best we can and fill the rest. We then paint the whole piece to match the color and thickness. All in all we charge around 75-100 for the job. Then again we also have great prices compared to other places.

a protective trim piece, came with the car but alot of people dont seem to have them and i was to lazy to peel it off.
i tell ya... people who have nice cars are targets, i say. i go to the store today and park my car way out of the way. some piece of **** astrovan parks right next to me. it's like people do it on purpose. and to top it off, they weren't parked right between the lines (i hate when people do that
) and real close to me.
) and real close to me. Thread
