Got in a wreck today!
Luckily I was in my 92' Explorer, not my Civ. Today I helped the youth group at my church carry a crap load of presents for less fortunate kids, they bought all of the presents at Wal-Mart, so I was in route between Wally World and my church. Well, this goofy little 90' eclipse decides that they want to turn in a driveway 12 feet away, so they do a really quick brake job, my reaction time is like that of a cow (in this instance) and I run right slam into the back of her at about 45 mph. I have a brush guard on the thing, I came out completely unscathed (my truck and me) and the lady was fine, but her Mitsu got owned...luckily insurance will take care of hit, her car needed to be totaled anyway, but it sucks that I had to screw up like that so close to Christmas. Anyways, just sharing my day, how has yalls been?

Amen man, I would have died if it was the civic...but my tanking EXplorer lives on, well...the right blinker is jammed now, and my fog lights got raped
i have never seen someone get in an accident and actually sound happy. im pleased that you made it out of the accident safe with no bruises but if it were me i would have been really depressed knowing my insurance would be going up because i caused a accident.

Thanks for moving the thread, by the way, to whomever did it, I figured it wasn't worthy for general auto, so I stuck it in off topic...guess I overlooked the 'my ride section'

good to hear your ok as well as the other person involved. I like the way you sound so positive, cause in the end its no big thing. Gotta have faith.

Sorry to hear of your accident man, I hope that insurance doesn't try to rape you [any more than I'm sure they already have].

I wrecked mah moms 2001 Toyota Highlander on December 14 :-( it really sucks coz xmas is coming soon and this what happened.. I feel really bad about mah moms highlander coz they brough it to the body shop and said the damage is too much they will just total it.. I feel really bad coz mah mom pays for her car and my car and all the insurance **** (imagine 5 family members she paying a full coverage insurance)... she pays alot of bills (almost all of the bills) and shes a single parent.. I know it will be hard for her.. and god damn I really feel bad.. my insurance is gonna go up too! and she have to pay for some stuff. coz the stupid insurance only gonna pay for 12k and we pay the rest... it suck!
neways, I just though I'd share these to u guys.. coz i just want the guilty feelings out of me... neways nobody was involve.. I swerved to island at 50mph LOL coz I was sleepy (that was 1 AM) I'm hella stupiD! I should have not driven mah moms car and didn't drive at all!!!! I feel really bad and stupid right now... she said she's gonna use mah civic (i am praying that she was just kidding)

Yeah, I feel ya man, it's just me and my dad in the house (Mom died of Cancer about a year ago) and he's paying for everything we got (even though its just us, not 5 kids) I'm starting my new job January 5th, so I can begin to help pops out with the bills and just random home improvement schemes around the hizzy.
Just got bad news today though, my explorer wasn't covered, they dropped the insurance on it unbeknownst (sp?) to me, so I have to pay for that dang car that I totaled out of my pocket, I checked the blue book value on the car that I slaughtered though, it's only about 1400...could have been a LOTTTTT worse. I can make 1400 dollars in January alone...so I'm gonna try to get that behind me and hop back on the tuner-wagon
