2001 Civic front end

I have a 2001 Silver Civic sedan with an original JDM RS front grill, oem spot lights and oem lip, but I think it still looks fat and ugly.

I thought painting the Chrome hood strip may help. Does anyone have any good ideas to make it look nicer or pics?

clear your headlights or paint them black and replace the chrome strip ontop of the grill with a body colored one and it would look a lot better

dont remove the amber corner if you have the real rs front grill, maybe you can just chop the corner like some people have done it looks real clean . just blackem out yo. not all the way though like alot of people do. you gotta take your time and do it right tape it off.. and take the defuser out of the headlight itll look real tight as far as the headlights go. and definately take the chrome off
get a cf hood but paint the whole thing accept for little bits around the edge just a little bit to accent it. stuff like that is what makes a car have style. little accents that are acctually big moddifications you just cant tell if you want a clean car take your time.. do what you want .. make up something that noone has done.

The front looks really clean now man.. But a couple of things you could do is black out the headlights and replace the chrome trim with a body colored trim. Just some idea..

you can buy a oem painted peice for like 28 bucks. the one that's chrome on our sedans, but painted.

I am swapping that and swapping the chrome peice for a 2004 painted one!

FALKEN ............... Yeh! It's an original JDM Honda RX grill. Maybe changing the logo to RS would look better, but where do I get one. Better still, I've thought about changing to a 2001 coupe grill.

Anyone got a pic of a silver sedan hood trim painted and a coupe grill.

If I get the chrome hood trim painted, will the paint stay good on top of chrome or flake after a while.

just get the coupe body colored trim piece. its cheap, could get it off ebay for like 20 bucks. as far as clearing the HL's, there is a DIY somewhere, if i can find the link, i'll post it. its pretty easy, least mine were. there's a piece in there, at least in the US version, that comes out that you don't have to tape off at all. the amber can be chopped or removed. here's the diy for clearing:

im feeling those sidemarkers too... looks good so far. like the clean look your going with.

Now that's very clean, is it shaved, too.

Oh, my chrome hood trim is getting painted now as we don't have coupes in Thailand. I only hope the paint won't flake after a while.

I want a new look Civic for Xmas

Civic front end

I know this won't make the front end look better, but I just got a set of chrome dash rings.
I'll fit them this weekend.

The chrome bumper trim has been painted and headlights have been cleared. I'll get some pics of my mods soon.

Thanks for the help guys

I say paint the strip to match your car, paint the insides of your housings black, and repalce that license plate frame. I suggest just a black frame.
