i went through my brief stint as a ricer a while ago. i used to dream of having a car full of stickers from aftermarket parts i bought. then one day i got killed by a civic that was one of the best sleepers i have seen. since that day, i vowed to make my car one the best sleepers i could afford. now that my stickers are off, and a nice k20a2 engine on the way this spring, or possibly this winter, people will be stunned when a 18 year old high schooler beats them in a seemingly stock civic....this is gonna be sweet......civic=perfect sleeper car. i love it

Sleeper is the way to go my only mods external body mods are oem wing rs type a front lip and black JDm wheels other than that all the rest of the money went into motor and suspension . I think i is cooler to see a semmingly harmless civic smoke the hell out of something that looks fast . Not saying i can yet i only got all the bolt ons so far no fi or internals yet so with all bolt ons its pretty quick i guesss

A sleeper requires a little more than a K20 under the hood. No-one outside the ricer circle is going to be too impressed with a car that runs 15 flat. I somehow thing a sleeper, if thats the intent requires the ability to beat most cars (i.e., 13.0 ETs or better).

How exactly do you intend on paying for this? You're aware a K20 swap done right is in the neighborhood of $8000-10000 right?

found one for alittle under 6,000.....i've been saving up for this for a while, meaning ever since i got a car......plus i get the install for free since...lets just say i got family connections......it will take a while to explain......my parents gave me 13k to buy a car, and i found my civic for 10k....thats 3 without lifting a finger.....i worked like mad to make the other cash

i bought my car 03 lx new years day last year it was an automatic i was a ricer for awhile thinking i could smoke everyone with SRI, And Axle Back Exhaust but now im out of tht stage and bought me a Se-R Spec V

That swap is a wast of money IMO...why dont you just sell your car now...and buy a used WRX or RSX even. Then you get a car that will be warenteed and fast. 6 Grand to get 73 hp? Kind of a waste...in order to make it fast you would need to add a turbo on top of that another 3 grand plus you will get a ton of wheelspin because it is FWD..My opinion is that you should sell the civic if you want speed.

i can't sell it.....i'm a senior in high school and if i sell it i have to pay all my insurance. where is with this, i only have to pay part of my insurance, 1 grand to be exact.....it's easier this way....paying all of my insurance would put a major dent in my money that i make in the summer, and i would be able to afford almost zero mods
