They are nice looking .... good job...however... If I owned a focus...I would put a 302 cid in it and make it rear wheel... thats the sweetest upgrade the focus have....im jealous cause with civic its a K20A or a turbo or NOS......sheesh where is the love!!!!

You didn't miss the sign. You missed the URL of the website. 7thgenCIVIC.com, see? I wasn't going to say anymore about it until I saw this post. I wasn't going to tell you go to somewhere else. But WHY in GOD's name come to a CIVIC website and show everyone your FOCUS and be like "see my car?!! don't you love it!! love me!! I'm beautiful!! I mean...my car is beautiful!! don't you like me now?!! yay me!". The entire purpose of this site is to share information, stories, pics, videos, and so on about 7th generation Honda Civics. I'm sure there are Focus forums for people with Focuses to post their pics on and ask fellow Focus drivers what they think about what they've done to their focus. I'm not saying you are completely out of line for posting your Focus pics here, but you ARE completely out of line if you expected nothing but praise for your arrogance.

There was no expected praise towards my vehicle. Hell I expected, people to say my car is ugly, the title of the whole topic is "WARNING!: Incoming Flames" Yes there are Focus websites out there, I run one of the largest ones. Am I interested in the 7th Gen? Yes, I wouldn't be here if I wasn't. I'm not here to start trouble, if you look at my posts, I'm not just posting a topic or two.

Are there pictures of other cars other than a 7th Gen in this area?
Yes.. there are. I've seen pics of a Celica GTS and other Honda's that aren't 7th Gen specific. Me posting pictures of my car is a way of saying hi. I've had people PM me and ask if I had any pictures of my car (2 to be exact) and since I'm new to the site, I posted them.

This post has also been up for 24 hours and I'm sure an admin has read the thread. If I was "completely out of line", an admin would have locked this thread, and PMed or emailed me.

I'm not first person to post pictures of my car that isn't a 7th Gen, and I guarantee I won't be the last person. If I offended you, I apologize, but from what I've read, I didn't cross any boundries when posting my car.

You successfully quoted my previous post, however it seems that you didn't pay any attention to what I was talking about.

Yeah, MORG, let the focus driver be. I personally like that blue focus because A) It's faster than my damn civic, and B) one of my neighbhors has a blue one that looks almost exactly like that one.

To each his own though.

How did I miss it? You told me I should have posted my pictures elsewhere and was looking for nothing but praise. I wasn't looking for praise, but I also wasn't looking for someone telling me that I wasn't welcome here.

morg655, stfu, he has done nothing. so he showed his picture in the members ride section, he is allowed, he is a member and that is his ride. if its a focus, great, then its a focus. there are 2 members who posted pictures of thier lancer evolutions and they didnt get the "its not a civic get outta here" speech. granted, they have been members for a long time and used to own a civic, but still, it shouldnt make a difference. he isnt bragging, or saying how easily he could smoke us or civics suck or nething, he is simply saying hello and showing off his car.

looks good man, keep up the good work, and welcome to the site.

Ok so here's the original post that I had responded to the first time. My point being, don't be surprised to come to a Civic forum to post pics of your Focus and be told by someone that you should take it elsewhere. I never said anything about you not deserving to be welcomed here, but you should EXPECT words that you may not want to hear from some of the loyal Civic drivers here. Not EVERYONE...but yes from a few individuals. It's asinine to think you wouldn't receive such criticisms. Just don't go and put a "Type-R" decal on your windshield like some jackass here in Colorado Springs has on his Black Focus ZX3. What's even funnier is that the entire car appears stock and sounds stock as well.

just curious, with all those engine mods, how fast does your zx3 run the 1/4 mile?

and with all the things i hear about fords, how many times have you had to take it to the shop if any?
I haven't taken my car to an official drag strip. Just fooling around with my GTech Pro I ran a 16.3 before the intake was on. I've made 3 runs witht he GTech. The first two were 16.7 and 16.8 with a friend in the car, the last the 16.3 by myself. I'm fairly confident I'd be high 15's with practice, but I haven't tried since.

As far as problems, I'm at 42,000 miles and I've had 2 problems. The first problem was my headlight switch went bad around 29,000 miles. This was fixed under warranty for free. At 40,000 miles I had one of the springs from my clutch popped out and I had to have it replaced. My dealership gave me the runaround claiming that the way I drive caused the problem (i.e. they saw mods on my car and assumed). I'm currently working with Ford to have them cover the labor to replace the clutch, as it was faulty from the manufacturer, not from the way I drive.

Other than the clutch, I've been completely happy with my Focus.

I remember test driving a Focus ZX3 when they first came out with them a few years ago. They said it was the replacement car for the Escort. I drove an Escort a couple of times in the past as a rental car and it was ok. When driving the ZX3, I didn't like the way the shifter felt compared to my 98 Civic. Just seemed to harsh, not very smooth to me. I guess yeah you can replace stuff and make things better. But as far as stock, I didn't have much good to say about it. I guess people like them nowadays. Maybe they make them better now. I dunno. w0rd
