well the original plan was to part out everything and get a bmw 328..
unfortunatly things didnt work out like i had hoped, so instead i decided
to give the vic a whole new look and feel.
thats the reason i got rid of the doors.... they where really cool and i enjoyed having them on the car.... but decided i wanted new paint, and turbo instead.

car is in the shop for another 2 weeks might as well add one more week to it.....hahahaha.....
anyway we decided to have the body shop paint the interior trim candy apple red to match the exterior paint..... might as well do it all at once !
so the way it stand the exterior paint scheme will be candy red
the SF turbo kit will be powder coated candy red and the interior will be candy red.... IMO i think it will be HOT..... well ill have the paint done before i get the turbo cause its gonna be a few more weeks before it ships but at least ill be able to post those pics.....

Are you painting the entire car over your black? What's going to happen to the flames in the front? Those were really nice, I woudn't want to see them go to waste.
Also... what shop are you going to? It must be a nice place with a guy you trust that does great work.

Rep Power: 372 If It was me I would of put the car back to stock...took that money and what ever other money you had and put that towards your house fund. If you are planning to buy a house in NY on Long Island....You are going to need a really big Downpayment, because if you dont put down a big Downpayment, you are going to have a really high monthly payment.
Im sure the car is going to look sweet and all, but if it was me and I was married...(which im going to be in 8 months) I wouldnt of wasted my money on a car...which is only going to be worth the same money or less money than it would be stock....I would put that money towards a house...and my future....I would rather have a really nice house, and just a plain car...instead of having a really nice car....and renting an apartment or getting a smaller less expensive house.

Wow, a very through inspiring post.
What a buzz-kill. I never want to grow up. I want to blow my money on stupid things, like my car. A house, kids, a future, never even crossed my mind.
But if you are married, then I guess save some money to get a house?
Real estate is a very good investment. A car is a fun hobby. I guess you have to find an equal balance between praticality and fun then.
But I guess redoing a car over and over really is overexcessive.
Just wondering... do you own your civic or are you still making payments on it ?

dont get me wrong the house is a major priority for us, and we are doing what we can to put a downpayment for one. 04' will be the year w/n the next 10 months we will be able to afford the downpayment. As for the car well its a hobbie and its something that Dee and I enjoy doing together, its something that we both like doing as a team. I wouldnt really call the money wasted since it was allready spent to begin with it didnt come out of our bank account it was 95% swapped out with the stuff we sold off. We are looking twords the future and planning for that we dont drop all the money into the car... most goes twords saving for the house and a few bucks also goes twords the car and what ever else we want. We do save for it, but im not going to let it be all that i do, i do want to enjoy some of the money as well. Besides we decided we dont want kids, we want the house 2 dogs and travel and have fun.... kids arent in our future at least not for now anyway.
