Just pay and fix it. Don't use insurance on stupid **** like that.
The bumper painting should be around $400 if they can save the bumper, $550 or so if you need a new one. The trunk will depend on how bad the dent is. They're gonna have to paint it no matter what.
Figure $300 for that.

Just ride around like that. It will save you money. I have a whole bunch of dints dings, and a hole in the front bumper. All because of parking in a college parking lot. There was only one scratch on my car when I started parking there 2 years ago. Now, I cant keep count.
took it out to sneiders collision center.or someshit like that ... came out to like...a little over $2,000 ..-_- wtf? >< ... parts came out to be like 600 something... but they calculated labor crap like paint job 13 hours @ $40 an hour... plus some other 13 hour ***** ... wtf ? help? ><

If all it is is refinish and paint... it should be 3-4 hours on the bumper, and if they buy a new trunk, then all it is is the 3 hrs to paint (every body shop uses this number... despite it only taking about 90 minutes start to finish in the booth)
Take it somewhere else.
I'm sure they'll get you for "dissassembly" charges... they should maybe be 1.5-2 hrs. Removing tail lights doesn't take too long.

Pep boys isn't a body shop. They just sell Oil filters and rice parts.
Get a phone book, look up body shops then go to ones that seem reputable. Get in the Cali Forum, ask what shops near you are good, then go to them. that sounds like a rediculous amount of labor if all they're doing is painting.
But take a picture.... maybe this "dent" is worse than I'm thinking it is.
