anyone had their 7th gen stolen
I had an integra and it got stolen, seems to be a common thing among acura integra's. However, with the new keychips and lack of need for our motors, are our cars often stolen??

The only way to steal a stock one is to tow it away... unless you're real good and can bypass the immobilizer. I've read a couple stories on Honda Tech about DC5s being jacked... basically they towed the car.

Well, about those immobilizers in out car i read that.
"These systems keep honest people honest and are very easy to bypass. All a thief has to do is cut the black wire in the three wire ribbon cable located under the dash and measure the resistance between the black wire and the yellow starter wire with a volt meter. They then touch the two wires with the matching resistor and the vehicle will start. This sounds complicated, but only takes about 20 seconds to defeat . . . which is probably why the factory installs these systems free."
kinda creepy.

Damn, that is pretty scary. hey I got a question. I had an aftermarket alarm installed in my LX cuz they dont come with one. That shouldnt mess with the immob right?
I look at it like this... I have and aftermarket along with that special system thing they have ...if they get mines....I have every reciept of every damn thing i put on this bastage..and the insurance company has pics and copys of reciepts ....please still mines...can you say new EVO, or TSX, or TL or WRX ...maybe even a SUV! lol!!!....feel free!!
but cant you pass the imobolizer by just grabbing another EM2 or DC5 ecu and key and plug that in. and just steal it that way? just guessing. but if you guys do get your car stolen is it really free? because you have to pay for the rest of your cars value you still owe to the dealer and then the money you paid your car with is just really coming back to you so nothing truly was or is free. just stating my .02 cents.
