Rep Power: 0 hehe.. i actually think Honda does this as marketing and for $$$
Look:
They make crappy taillights for 3 years, then at the end of the model they make some ones realy nice so all the ppl with older ones go and buy the new ones..

Rep Power: 0 Thanks for the comments everyone...Dragin, have you seen the '04 coupes? The '04 sedans are the same as the 02-03's, but the coupe is completely different. Believe me, those on my car now are straight fomr the '04's.

Rep Power: 0 I'll try to get more...I dont have turn signals in the rear yet, I'm still waiting for the part to come in. And I *highly* doubt any 04s have been crashed yet. heh. We have had two 04 coupe on the lot so far, one we dealer traded that was red and a blue one thats still out there. And BTW, for anyone inquring, the lights really do not look good on red or blue cars. The 01-03 tails look a lot better on those colors. Silver, black and the new magnesium color are the only colors I think the tails look good on, IMO...

can someone fill me in on the modifications that need to be done to the wiring or light bulbs to make this work on an 02. i have a crack in one of my taillights so when i get new ones i can get the 04 lights if they are easy to put in as far as the modifications go if any are needed.
Thanks

Rep Power: 0 02SilvCiv...My first post in the thread explains everything that has to be done. It's not much. They fit in perfect, you just have to order new turn signal bulb harnesses and get new bulbs. No wiress have to be extended, but you kinda have to stretch the brake/parking light out since it goes in the top instead of the middle in these.

Rep Power: 0 Bulb is 7443. I do not know the part number for the socket, sorry. Just go to Honda and tell them you need the socket for the turn signal.

Also, I went to the honda dealer and asked them, but they had no idea what I was talking about. They offered to give me the whole 04 rear harness which is like 50 bucks. But what am I going to do with that. Esinen you need to be more clear. It's hard for me to believe that you got this conversion done but don't know anything about the DIY. For mine, I just put in some 7443 12pc leds. It doesn't work that well in the daytime, since the whole led can't fit in, but it's bright at night.

Rep Power: 0 Hey jackass, did I not mention thru and thru that I never PURCHASED the turn signal socket? I'm going off memory from the one time I actually looked at the back of the taillights. For the three months I had the taillights on the car, I never had turn signals in the rear. Which isn't really safe, but for two of those months, my car was in the shop getting the transmission fixed.
Good for you what you did, I did what I did and I was the first to have it done. When I first posted this message, I explained exactly what I knew you had to do. Do you not see the pictures of them on my car? How can it be "hard for [you] to believe that [I] got this conversion done but don't know anything about the DIY" when there are fricken' pictures. Idiot.
I don't see how people are having such a hard time finding this socket. I found it easily. The day I put the taillights in, I walked over to parts, had them pull the taillights up on the computer, and looked at the diagram with them and pointed out the part I needed...The SOCKET FOR THE TURN SIGNAL BULB. It's really not that hard. Good things can happen when you put your mind to things, genx. Try it sometime.
